At St. Timothy’s we value growing deeper in our faith and connections with each other.
5th Saturday Club
Geared towards folks with a heart to serve, 5th Saturdays Club is an opportunity to meet new people and to make a difference in the Greensboro community. On a typical Saturday, we meet at the church at for breakfast, serve for several hours in the community, then share lunch together and reflect on the day’s experiences. Meets on the 5th Saturdays (March 30, June 29, August 31, November 30) from 9am-1pm. For more information, contact William Parrish at firstname.lastname@example.org
Fine Vining Groups
We love connecting around the table, and one of the ways we do that is through Fine Vining groups. These are groups of 6-8 people who commit to sharing a meal together once a month for a short season (3-4 months). We shuffle these groups up at the end of each season and then start fresh. This is a great way to meet new people and have conversations about life, faith, and the world today. New groups begin each September and January.
St. Timothy’s book club meets monthly at the home of one of our community members. We cover fiction and nonfiction and love spending the evening reflecting on how these pieces connect with our lives. Recently, we’ve read Zealot by Reza Aslan, The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman, and Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. Our meeting time and location changes each month and our next meeting can be found on the church calendar.
Our vibrant Youth Group is full of students who love to have fun, laugh, and eat and who are curious about faith. We meet weekly on Sunday evenings at 6pm. Each month we have an evening of games and a lesson, an opportunity to serve the community, a fun night, and dinner in someone’s home. You can find our schedule for each week on the church calendar. For more details, contact Pastor Carter at email@example.com .
Tuesday Morning Bible Study
This group meets each Tuesday morning at 10am in the Bridford House at St. Timothy’s to grow deeper in faith together. This group explores many different topics of faith (ranging from the prophets to Scripture to social justice) through compassionate and curious conversation. Feel free to drop in anytime.
Our choir practices each Wednesday evening at 7pm from September-May. Vocalists and musicians of all levels of experience are encouraged to participate. Contact Nancy Cole (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get plugged in.
We have several Sunday School options for adults, children, and youth. The classes meet from 10:30am-11:15am on Sundays and details can be found on the “What to Expect on Sunday” page.
